    Things to come

The next few months are going to be full of fun stuff.

The first weekend in March, of course, The Arnold Fitness Expo returns. I'm sure you're all sick of hearing me blog about it for the umpteenth year in a row but hey, its my blog. That can wait a bit, though.

Having somewhat backed off on my hatred for horror movie remakes last year, January 16th marks the opening of My Bloody Valentine 3D. The original, a Canadian film from 1981, is not really a great film. It has a devoted following but in my opinion its a little more well liked than it deserves to be. I've probably seen it five or six times and it never really grew on me as a favorite but a reason for that could be that the movie was heavily cut by the MPAA and to my knowledge there is no uncut version of the film in existence at this time. I would say if any old slasher film was ripe for a remake its this one.

Remaking this movie in 3D if freaking brilliant. I have not been to a 3D horror film in a theater since Friday the 13th part 3. I saw a few of the commercials and did my research and now I'm conviced this is going to be a really fun friday night date movie. From what I can tell it is another film that is continuing the welcome trend of returning to slasher film basics and it will be made even better by pick-axes and body parts flying at you in 3D. So I'm convinced, but a date usually requires at least a  second person and Leslie is not sharing my excitement to see this movie. I'm going to need to come up with some really creative bribe in order to get her to go.

Here are a couple of advance reviews if you're interested.

I don't watch any kind of scary movies. I guess I lived alone for TOO long and if I watched scary movies it made it difficult to be alone especially at night. So, you watch those movies for me and enjoy kay?? I know. I'm a wuss. They are JUST movies. :)

    Have a great weekend!!
